Right, today i was sleeping on the bus omw home when i was rudely awaken by a spoilt kid crying and shouting loudly at the back of the bus.. If you wana noe how loud.. Imagine my ear being plugged by my earpiece and yet I still find it loud.. Anyway, his granny was at his side and like trying to ask him not to make a scene on the bus.. But he still kept on doing it.. Hmm.. are kids today worse off than kids from the 80's or early 90's even though they have a more well-doing family and more educated parents?

Remembering the times when i was a kid.. I was taught that whenever we board a bus or are in a public area, we are supposed to behave ourselves.. Sit on the bus means sit on the bus.. No standing around.. No playing with bars like some monkey bars etc.. If we dont, we are in for a "treat" when we reach home.. But looking at how parents teach their kids today is saddening.. Kids running up and down the bus walkway.. Playing monkey bars.. Climbing here and there.. Bet that all of you would have seen these incdents.. Read off the papers once that a heated argument actually occured btw a mother and a passerby (something like that, cant realli recall exactly).. Reason? A kid was doing something wrong and the passerby happen to "lecture" the kid as to not to do so.. The mother actually said that the passerby is in the wrong coz his kid is still... well.. a kid and that they can do whatever they want.. The mother didnt even felt embrassed by her kid's wrong-doing and actually argued with the passer-by for scolding her kid.. If this were to happen in the past, parents would alr hv apologise and gave the kid a serious talking..

Every Sun is a "WHOLE FAMILY" day for me where all my relatives will gather at my grandma's hse though she's no longer with us.. Looking at all my younger cousins today really proved my point above.. Remembering back when my older bro and me were still kids, we would always pester our parents to let us out to the front courtyard to cycle, play sparklers or even go to the garden to dig for earthworms.. NOW? All my younger cousins rather stay indoors with their hand-held games.. You could even talk to them w/o them realising you are speaking to them..

To add on to that, they even need their parents to feed them dinner WHILE they are playing with their handhelds.. If they walk around, their parents would also nida follow them around.. Where are the canes and scoldings that my bro and I suffered whenever we do not sit down properly to have our dinner.. Some of my cousins even dare to make funny faces when I asked them to sit down properly to finish their dinner before they play their hand-helds..

I might be stereotyping.. But it is actually happenening everywhere.. Can you imagine a parent bringing and fetching their kids to and from school everyday w/o fail even though they are like no longer in lower primary? I have always scolded my younger bro for asking my dad to pick him up after his swimming lesson at Yiochukang complex @ 8pm.. YCK complex is just a bus svc 13 away from my hse.. The travel time wun even hit 20mins..Kids today are so well-protected and spoilt by their parents.. One slight scolding from teacher in school they complain to their parents.. Nxt day, parents in school questioning the teacher.. Where are the days where parents leave the teachers to do what they do best - Teaching and Nurturing the Young - w/o interfering for minor incidents where the kids are actually and mostly at fault? Points taken?

Not sure if anyone out there would agree with me but these are my thought, my space to write down what I feel.. Sg is a "liberal" and "open" country where we have rights of expressing one's view.. But "BIG BROTHER" is always on the watch.. In events where people get offended from my entries, pls do not take it to heart..

Two guys, 1 Cup? haha.. Caught red-handed.. Went to Ministry of Food at Suntec to have lunch with the gang.. Reasons? YC is returning to England to study again liao.. Oh well, holidays are short lived.. So gotta enjoy while we can..

After lunch, went back to my hse for mahjong and soccer.. MAN UTD VS MAN CITY!!! Wah, the match freaking exciting.. Filled with lousy goalkeeping by Ben "Clumsy" Foster.. a brace from Fletcher =D and the wonder goal from Michael "Glass" Owen way way Way into stoppage time.. But mr glassy is currently injured again..

Sent my bro off to Japan.. Overseas attachment to Tokyo for 2mths.. Haiz, honestly speaking.. I should be the one flying off instead of him.. If only i did not make the choice of gg to Poly.. Had really been thinking lately.. If I had decided to take a bank loan to go to SIM, would i be like tt now? If I had decided to take a bank loan and fly to Swiss to take up the degree course for HTM, would i be like tt now?

Im infamous for making poor decisions when the time for decision-making comes.. Always make the decision and den will regret it later.. The whole reason y im thinking like tt now is coz friends ard me are graduating with a DEGREE and working for work now.. N me??? Still sem 1.1 in a DIPLOMA course which will not land me a high paycheck when i graduate.. Even told my parents that i might not be gg to uni after i graduate.. What the hell am i thinking?

THE END OF PROJECTS!!! but the BEGINNING OF EXAMINATIONS..

zzz.. why is poly life so fast-paced?? u completed like 6 projects in a row.. thinking that you might be able to rest for a while before continuing.. but NOooo.. *Poofs* End-sems exams are in 2 weeks time.. WTH..

Hmm.. things to update:

(1) Watched Harry Potter last fri.. I feel its okok only lar.. not that fantastic.. feel that half blood prince is abit more of a prequel to the last title of the series - The Deathly Hallows..

(2) Met the gang for the infamous Holland V Crystal Jade on Sat.. Damn nice.. we chiong the xiaolongbao like siao.. TW alone ate like 23 or 24 of it.. trying to break his friend's record.. I ate like 8 den i cannt tk it liao.. so much flour.. Den Alvin's lips were like sausages coz he ate the super super hot small chilli.. haha.. had fun tt nite even though it was short.. coz i cant realli recall when was the last time i was with them due to projects etc..

(3) My group scored an "A" for POM group assignment... our hard work paid off.. good job guys.. we earned it.. =D lets hope the same goes for the rest of our group assignments.. GoGoGo power group.. LOL

(4) Have been telling myself to start revision since Monday.. till now, Thursday, I hvnt even started on any.. ZZZzz.. the presence of temptations aint helping either.. Come on.. STAY FOCUSED!!

Firstly, I left home w/o my hp.. Freaking 1st time.. and it is a damn bad experience.. its like u are cut off from everyone u know.. Paiseh to all who msg/call me.. I did not have my phone with me..

Secondly, my F&B assignment was done wrongly and have to re-do..

Thirdly, I DROPPED my laptop at BizPark today.. One side of the lousy thing actualy CRACKED!!! WTH...

Then, I got stuck in a traffic jam for 30+ mins on my way home... I left school around 6 and i reached home at 8.. do the math..

Finally, I have like Macecons proj dateline on Thur, IntHT & RHT test on Wed which i hvnt really studied yet.. To add on to these, I still nida prepare a 3mins presentation for Comms Skills tmr..

Yup, its Friday and Im rotting at home, as usual.. End of another school week.. Time really flies.. It have alr been like almost 3 months since i started my poly life..

Got back all the mid-sem tests, IntHT test, Comms Skill Test.. Well, cant say Im satisfied with what i gotta.. 2 As, 2Bs, 1 C.. That C for Comms Skill was expected as my english language wasnt always that good.. Its the 2 Bs that are very very very disturbing.. POM & RHT.. RHT was a major letdown while POM was due to some weird weird marking criteria.. Criteria like handwriting, presentation of answers.. ZZZ... At least i did pretty well for IntHT & Macro-econs.. *pat on the back*

I was feeling damn down this week.. Duno the reason oso.. Maybe i was too pessimistic on stuff.. Or over-sensitive.. Or... Or... Or Im just being me.. zzz... I hate myself.. Dont know how my friends can accept me or even tahan me..

M I really that bad a person? Is my character really that F-up? M I really that hard to get along with? Do i even have any strength as a friend? Sometimes i really wonder... Passing of an Icon

Last week, we witnessed the passing of yet another icon. The undisputed King Of Pop - Michael Jackson.. Aged 50..

His death is a loss to the entertainment industry. Although he did a hell lots of whacko stuff in the later part of his career, his singing and dance move were awesome.. Who can forget his signature dance move - the "Moon walk", the glove that he wore, the music video revolution.. No better what, his place as a singing icon is irreplacable in many.. Hope he finds a better place in the afterlife.. My heart goes out to the Jackson family.. Esp his children who are in the middle of a custody fight..

On a side note... Today, i had a sucky sucky day.. I did relatively bad for my POM mid-sem test.. although i was very very very confident in the paper as its freaking freaking easy..

Coz in btw, i added in some of my own idiotic trend of thoughts.. DAMN PISSED... coz of me, my grp changed the whole proj into something that Ms Goh didnt guide us to do.. DUMB IDIOT.. Im really sorry guys if we didnt manage to do well..

Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen

Bet that the lot of you have not catch this great great movie.. Haas.. I just watched it at GV Bishan at 10pm.. N I just got home.. Gotta rush IntHT project liao.. zzz.. lect at 9am tmr..

BUT FIRST!!!

DO DO DO DO DO!!!!! DO watch this great movie.. The sound effects are awesome, the fight scenes are fantastic, their humorous sides are unforgettable & their plot is damn damn good.. You gotta watch it to believe it.. The only downside was its relatively short ending despite being a 2hr+ show.. Oops.. Shldnt had said tt.. haas..

Keep an eye out for the Autobots chidish Twin - Skids & Mudslaps.. They appeared first as Icecream truck before upgrading to their newer form (below).. The 2 of them will provide the majority of the laughter.. Battle scene of Optimus taking on Megatron, Blackout & Starscream all by himself is damn damn zai.. Dont forget Grandpa Jet Fire (SR-71 Blackbird) who acts like a senile old man but made the ****** (haas, dun wana be the spoiler.. He did something damn zai also near the end).. The formation of the gigantic Devastator.. The Star War-like relationship between the Fallen & Megatron.. The cowardness of Starscream.. The lame-ness of the Sector 7 agent.. The hotness of Megan Fox.. Haas.. lets just take it that the rumours of her are not true.. =p

F*** you A*G airport svc.. Especially T1..

Shift from 2pm to 11pm.. But the actual time you are on duty is whenever there's a flight coming in.. So if there isnt any plane coming in, you sit at Helpdesk to rot!!!

Toking bout helpdesk.. You guys mst take serious note.. its a A*G Helpdesk.. ASIAN Y***H GAME HELPDESK!!! We only cater to A*G personnel.. For tourists etc, pls f*** off.. Thats what the T1 Day IC, LP, is trying to convey to us, the volunteers..

I got reprimanded just cause I helped answered some queries from tourists.. Aint it f*** up? If you feel that Im in the wrong.. nvm, i suck it up.. Coz it is a A*G helpdesk anyway.. But listen to the next issues..

Was inside T1 gate D42 to receive the Chinese Taipei personnels the moment they leave the plane. Then we went over to the immigration side for them to sign their Visa etc.. As most of the athletes do not have a pen with them, I approach the nearby ICA desk to borrow some pens. And you know what happened nxt?

Tt LP pulled me to one side and started saying that Im not supposed to help them.. He made it seems like I did something damn wrong.. I mean HELLO?!?!? WE ARE A*G VOLUNTEERS... aint we representing Spore and are supposed to help the delegates as much as we can?!?!?! SO WHY AM I IN THE WRONG?!?! When i told him coz some of them have no pen and tt's y i help them borrow from the ICA officers, he told me they are supposed to find the pen themselves.. Den my nxt question was what if they have no pen.. YOU KNOW WHAT'S HIS ANS?? THATS THEIR PROBLEM!!! I was like WTF lar.. you are representing Spore and saying such stuff...

3rd issue.. the last flight of the day was the Chinese Taipei flight.. But everything was settled at like 915 like tt.. Then we were back at the Helpdesk.. As I saw the A*G transportation side releasing their volunteers as there are no more flight coming in for the night, I approach tt LP to ask if i can be release since there's no pt in keeping me around. Tt F***er actually told me that he's busy and dont disturb him!!! You expect me to rot around till 11pm?!?!?!

4th issues sorta involves Jessica oso.. tt LP made me sound like Im misguiding Jessica for some reason.. Saying things like volunteers who jst reach the helpdesk to report for duty are supposed to look for the IC immediately and not go anywhere or do anything else.. HELLO??? Jessica was only like asking me wheres the toilet so that she can change into her A*G T-shirt..

After witnessing and hearing such stuff, I seriously doubt the A*G protocol and the way they run things. SO F*** YOU A*G.. Im not gona go for anymore session liao.. I QUIT.. You want me to return you the 2 Polo T that you provided.. I will DRY CLEAN THEM AND MAIL IT BACK TO YOU..

Secondly, our LAWYER-2-be HJ was back from Exeter, England ytd morning. Hence, we met up for supper last night as he's gg back to M'sia early this morning. Had a great chat and laughs over prata. cant really remember when's the last time I did that with them.. Haiz.. sad sad

Last night theres only 4 ppl who made it - HJ, TW, KH & me.. The rest are busy hence unable to make it.. We joked about alot of stuffs.. North Korea's nuclear missile hitting China and the whole population of PRCs stomping N.Korea flat.. Joking about Citibank's mgmt and TW's sis.. Practically everything we can tok about.. N you guys wana hear the classic? TW have a new name!!

It may nt be the slickest-looking lappie around. But it gets jobs done.. =D Wanted to get a Vaio!! But alot of ppl i know disapprove the purchase of a Vaio.. Saying its a vase, etc... So, due to tt n me needing to save money, I bought this lappie.. PC Show was selling it @ $2.3K for the same spec n model.. I got it from school for only $1.6K.. Saved couple of hundreds there..

AYG is starting soon.. Im assigned to Airport duty at T1 starting on 18/06 till 09/07. But there are couple of days w/o dutys in btw. Will be on duty from 3pm to 12am.. zzz.. will be reaching hm at like 1am.. den hving sch at like 9am the following.. So gona die of fatigue..

Went back to NPPK today to have lunch with my juniors.. We ate pizza hut and i finally had student meal price.. wahaha.. After tt, went to Henderson Industrial Park to get my lappie =D

My bro jst bought a new PS3 game - The Ghostbuster game.. Haas.. tt movie was such a hit back then.. "If theres something strange.. in the neighbourhood.. who'd u call?" The Los Angeles Lakers won their 15th title with a 99-86 win over the Orlando Magics. Kobe Bryant winning his 4th ring and coach Phil Jackson making his way into the NBA record with his 10th title.

Back dating to 2000, I was mesmerised by the LA Lakers and had since supported them till today. Back then, they had the best 1-2 KO team with the original 'Superman' Shaq O'Neil & Kobe Bryant. They swept the Philadelphia 76ers & the New Jersey Nets on route to 3 NBA championships from 2000-2002.

Heartbreak followed in the 2002-2003 season. They had a great team that comprises the 'Big Diesel' Shaq, Bryant, the 'Mail Man' Karl Marlone, the 'Glove' Gary Payton to add on to their already impressive bench. But they lost out to the Detroit Pistons in the Finals. Soon after that, big players started to leave. Shaq went to the Miami Heats and Marlone & Payton retired.

Since then, the Lakers was a new team revolving around Bryant as the core of the team. New players came and left and the Lakers didnt make another NBA Finals appearance till a few years later. They acquired Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2007-2008 season and made their NBA Finals appearance that very season. But again, they lost out to the Boston Celtics.

This season, they were magnificient. Players took turns carrying the team forward, be it Lamar Odom, Pau Gasol or Bryant. They perserved and made it through to the Finals and beat the Magics 4-1.

Congratulation Lakers on winning on the 2008-2009 NBA Championship.

On another issue, C.Ronaldo is heading for Real Madrid for a record £80m. Tt's alot of money to spend on ONE player considering the financial crisis going on world wide. Well, I applauded Man Utd's decision to offload the Incredible Sulk. Yes yes, he may have dazzled us with his stepovers or his freekicks. But deep down, he's a one man show. Went with Allen, Leon and Winnie today.. Was damn amazed by the changes to the zoo.. My last visit was like donkey years ago..

You are walking on the streets and you came across a handicapped guy in a wheelchair.. N i mean really handicapped.. like sorta not normal looking.. (not to be rude though).. He's selling those $2 tickets that acts as lucky draws too.. Will YOU buy from him?

Next scenario:

Lets say you bought from him.. ^o^ Good for you.. But you realise that its actually part of a scam by an organisation using these unfortunate people to make a profit.. How will you react and feel? Will you do the same act again if you encounter another?

Okok.. This was actually what happened to me earlier when i was taking a bus from Bishan Interchange.. My feeling on this? Well, i guess i will still buy the tickets if I ever encounter these situation again.. But I just hope that these unfortunate people can actually benefit from the sale of the tickets instead of those organisation..

2days 2 papers so far.. My verdict? Haas.. manageable.. Which is good.. coz i think im gona F*** up RHT paper.. At least 2 out of 3 ya? =p

Been reading my notes since morning.. See the term i used? "READING", not "STUDYING".. my definition of "studying" is reading notes and getting stuffs into my head.. Hence, when i use "reading", i meant that Im reading my notes and not getting anything into my head.. ZZzz

And to add on to that, my right eyelid had been twitching since last night.. Damn.. is it a good or a bad sign?

F&B Quiz 2

Another new week.. And another F&B quiz.. Nuts, Cereals & Pasta; Fruits & Veg; Diary Products and Eggs.. DIE.. haas.. ok lar.. the quiz shld be able to pass.. but to score? Dun bother bout it..

Jst to keep you guys aware of what we learn in F&B... there are FIFTEEN (yes, 15!!!) types of apples, 5 types of pears,12 families of veg, 3 different type of cows that produces milk.. the list jst goes on & on & on.. How to memorize? You tell mi =p

Today was a normal day as usual.. LOL.. woke up n washed up.. den go sch for POM lect at 9.. Saw WL at the bus stop though.. n she's late as usual.. meaning... IM LATE TOO =p hahaha.. Missed the bus at 810 from Bishan.. Damn..

POM lect was followed by F&B tut --> QUIZ!!! The quiz is supposed to consist of 7 pages.. n you know what? All the even pages werent printed out.. DAMN C**K.. So Mr KB gotta go print them while we are doing the odd pages.. Quiz lasted for an hr and then we had our "cheeze-est" food tasting on.... CHEESE!!! We tried chadder, smoked cheese (it tastes n smells exactly like smoked ham), sour cream and the king of all -- BLUE CHEESE!!! Couple of our gals ran out of class immediately after tasting the blue cheese.. I tasted it too.. Well, it tastes exactly like ROTTEN VEG and smells like PUKE!! But its nice.. =) An eye opener.. or rather a "taste opener"

Mid Semester tests are gone be held nxt week.. Sianz... Duno how to start revision also.. especially when projects are piling up.. But nvm.. When there's a will, there's a way ^o^ Jiayou Jiayou Jiayou everyone!!

Aniway, an update of interesting things so far:

(1) I bought my new phone using my own money - HTC Diamond2.. n Yes!!! It looks exactly like the pictures i posted in earlier entry.. The color is superb and the phone looks slick..

(2) My younger bro jst got his IPhone today.. Y AN IPHONE??? Its like the most common thing ard now..

(3) Singapore Govt is finally setting up a new University.. But you know the problem with local uni? Their standard n criteria for entry is so f***ing high that majority of us cant get in.. N to think that the govt is complaining alot of locals are going overseas for further studies instead of studying locally.. B***S***

(4) Tamil Tigers are no more.. Hmm.. guess sec school social studies syllabus will need to be updated.. The conflict with the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka had been on for a long time but ended in May 2009, thanks to the death of the Tamil Tigers leader.. Lol.. They could even remove the whole syllabus on conflict in Sri Lanka.. And add in conflict in Iraq thanks to Mr Terrorists - The Twin Towers Banger..

Booyah!! My probation period is over (^o^).. If you wondering probation of what.. Haas.. its my DRIVING probation!! YEAH!! Finally 1 year liao.. dun nid to put tt ugly P-plate le when i drive lo..

Recollecting what happened today 1 yr ago, I was pretty nervous before i took the TP test.. Was afraid of mounting curbs.. Was afraid of striking poles.. Haas, basically afraid of failing.. Y? Coz I seriously wanted to pass it before my 21st bday.. Thankfully, being a natural at driving, i passed at the 1st attempt.. Hehe.. So i was really happy when i heard the tester asking me to proceed to a room to listen to some online final final road usage theory.. Throughout the whole thingy, i wasnt even paying attention.. Was so hoping to go back home and start driving my dad's car.. Haas..

Ok, that aside.. Today is Jasmine's 17th bday.. We (not the whole class as some had alr left immediately the moment class was dismissed) sang her a bday song in the lab and other classes were staring at us through the windows.. Guess we were quite loud =p But who cares right? Den Winnie presented her with our gift.. Hope she likes it though..

Projects are really flying in like nobody's biz and the deadlines for most are around July.. And 14 of us (including yours truely) volunteered for the AYG (Asian Youth Games)... Bad move.. But i believe we can perserve through.. i think.. =p

Oooo.. Mas Selamat is caught 1 yr after his escape from Whitley Rd Detention Centre.. in MALAYSIA!!! And the thing is, he was caught 1 mth ago on 1 Apr 09.. But it was only released through the news on Fri, 8th May 09..

Y the delay in the release of what's presume as an vital information? LOL.. No one knows the reason.. No one will ever know the REAL reason.. Maybe except the govt bodies? Haas.. But at least, the "crippled horse" is now safely behind the bars of M'sia unless he performs another one of his infamous escape acts.

According to M'sia source, this "horse" is actually plotting a revenge on Singapore during his pleasant stay in M'sia.. LOL.. Seriously, whats wrong with these ppl's mind? Are their mind only filled with Hatred & Death?? Aint there room for Love & Compassion??

Aniway.. enough of the insane "horse"..

Hmm.. 3 weeks of schooling have past and the ironic thing is -- HOLIDAY is coming in a MONTHS time.. LOL.. tt's so fast.. In short, mid-sems tests are round the corners!!! Y are poly school terms so short???? I have barely gotta into gear and holiday is near!!! On top of that, as mentioned in previous entry, some of the projects have alr been released to us.. Mainly POM project & IntHT project... Although guidelines are given to us to follow, I seriously got no idea as to how or when to start it.. Its noting like JC's project work i think.. HOW?!?!?!??! DIE!!! GG!!!

Food & Beverage "Quiz"

Right..theres a F&B quiz today on Herbs, Spices & Nutrients. TP (or maybe jst the F&B dept) is weird in a sense that they call the class tests as quizzes.. They give us that fake HOPE that even if you fail it, it doesnt matter. But its actually counted against the 60% coursework!!! I was like so.. -_-lll sianz-half!!!

Okok.. back to the "quiz".. In my opinion, the test is actually quite ok lar if you got study.. which leads me to my nxt pt -- I DIDNT STUDY enough.. Haiz, must be too old liao.. den memory blockage.. CURSE NATIONAL SERVICE.. Take away your studying mood for tt precious 2 yrs.. Hopefully for the "quiz" can at least get a pass ba.. *fingers-crossed*

Hmmm...

I believe we will be informed of all our projects in this coming week. So i guess the busy-ness will start to kick in very soon le.. So mst play as much as possible now =P Project grps are more or less fixed liao.. My group is like the all guys team, which may be cool. BUT~~~~ i am still very bothered by the fact that all guys team may not be able to do up a good project from past experiences. So i sincerely hope that you guys, including me, can put aside our PERSONAL COMMITMENTS and try to do a good job!!!

OH YA! With regards to my earlier post on Swine Flue, the Chinese terms has been changed to 甲型流感liao. Hopefully this flue will be controlled as soon as possible!! So everyone, pls do your part everyday by watching your own hygiene. If you are sick, pls go see a doc =)

Oookk~~~ Week 2 is down thanks to labour day!! YEAH!! Tmr no sch..

This week is abit heavier than week 1 as tutorials start to kick in. But its still manageable though. So far, i have been studying the following modules (i think they are called modules):

POM --> Principal of Mgmt
IntHT--> Introduction to Hospitality & Tourism
RHT --> Research of Hospitiality & Tourism
Macroeconomics
APEL --> Applied Principal of Effective Learning
F&B Fun--> Food & Beverages Fundamental
Comms Skill--> Communication Skills

Macroeconomics and IntHT is very straight-forward so far, so I have no problems understanding them. But for POM & RHT, I am not really catching anything. Haiz.. need to start reading up liao. N the worse thing has jst started to kick in -- MY HABIT OF SLEEPING IN LECTURES!!! Its only week 2 and i have alr fell aslp for a few lectures cos the lecturers are either too slow (RHT), too long-winded (IntHT) or just plain boring (F&B)!!

Finally met up with TW on Tue @ TM as he needs to get a gift for his friend. Last time i saw him was like the day before KW left Singapore. The lousy guy actually fell sick a few days ltr.. LLoser with a capital 'L' arh Bro!! Lucky its not the recent swine flue.

Talking bout the swine flue, the chinese term used is damn lame sia.. 猪流感.. LOL.. so if one day, cows start to develop the same disease, will it be called 牛流感???? Chinese seriously got a very bad way of naming stuffs. Honest.

This week also marks the bdays of alot of ppl - Weiling (my SL), Mr Tang (my sec sch chinese teacher), Kianwei (my MPD colleagues), TW (OI Brother) & my very own older brother. So i wana wish them a very happy bday!!! And you guys want to know the interesting part. Their bdays are like one after another. WL (29 Apr), Mr Tang (30 Apr), KW (1 May), TW (2 May) & my bro (3 May). Luckily dont need to buy presents.. If not i confirm broke liao!!! =D

Cost of Modernisation?

Woke up today and saw something on the papers that caught my attention.

For those of you who cant read chinese - "Obedient boy" molested 7 girls & sentenced to 32 years behind bars and 24 strokes.

He was given these harsh sentence because all of his targets were from age of 9 to 14!!! The crime he committed on some of his victims were indecent and I do not wish to post them online. I was even more stunned when i read the article more in-depth. He (22 yrs of age) was a OCS-caliber type of guy during army and during his schooling days, he was like those better performing ones. So why would such a guy with a good future do such things?

From the article, he first got into a relationship with a sales girl when he was 17. Due to that, he started returning home late everyday and his school work started to drop. As a result, his parents started to ignore him and he was always alone at home. To make matters worse, his gf was double-timing at the same time and broke off with him soon after that. So was that the cause of everything?

After reading the article, i really started to think... In this time and age where high tech stuffs are everywhere, are we forgetting the things that seperated us from animals? Why would such incident happen when all of us are receiving better education and a higher standard of living?
Who should we point the blame too?

- The education system in schools which basically only requires students to be academically-inclined?

- The parents who are too concerned with providing the best for their children and forgetting that they are also suppose to impart moral values to their kids?

- The society in which compassion and sympathy is rare displayed?

There is no right-wrong answer here. Everyone of you who are reading this article will also have your thoughts and feelings.

I would like to take this chance to thank my parents for making me the man that I am today. I may not be the perfect guy, but at least I have sympathy and compassion which were imparted to me by my parents.

Crap, jst woke up and look at the time..half a day gone liao =( For those of you who is wondering why Im at home blogging at 12pm.. Wahaha.. I have no school today =)

Attended the HTM (Hospitality & Tourism Mgmt) orientation ytd at 5pm and i can say the event was FUN!! Well, to a certain extent though. WHY?!?!?! Coz i lost one of my spec lens at the FIRST game station. So I was practially VISUALLY-HANDICAPED throughout the other games. There were games like well, common games that you will play during orientation.. Basically, its aim is to bond the class and promote team-building.. LOL.. N the ironic thing is --- guess out of 23 ppl in my class, how many attended?

A MISERABLE NUM OF 9!!! Thats like not even 50% attendance. People attended were Leon, Allen, Yan'En, Jasmine, Winnie, Shu Ting, Rafika, Li Xi and Ingah. Our SL, Weiling and Grace, were like so sian due to the class strength as compared to others. But hey, though we were small, we were great!! Especially in the "Pass-tofu-ard-the-fountain" game, we caught up with the class who started like 9 - 10 mins before us. So GOOD JOB 1H03!! *Clap Clap*

The last event was the Mascort compeition. One of the HTMIG (HTM Interst Group) committee pronounced the word like "Mass-c**k"... LOL..Everyone was like stunned!! Our hero of the day was YAN'EN (Pic below). We made him our bride of the day =p Oh ya.. definitely gotta show you ppl a pic that will shame some of the ladies ard. Ladies, pls look at the leg of the center guy.. AINT IT GREAT!!! The whole HTM was like so amused with his legs lar.. I have another pic that Yan'En took with him. But its currently not with me. Will post them as soon as I have them.

Although we didnt win any phyiscal rewards at the end, we won sumthings better--- Friendship, teamwork and the bonding. So three cheers and three cheers and three cheers for 03!! Hip Hip Horray!! Hip Hip Horray!! Hip Hip Horray!!!

Event ended like ard 11pm. Normally, I will like go back home on the bus alone all the way to Bishan. So sad rite? LOL.. but ytd wasnt. I so call "befriended" a friend of weiling . She lives like in the Thomson area (if i didnt recall wrongly). So she will also need to go all the way to Bishan to switch bus. Jst nice both of us oso took 410W. +) Throughout the whole journey, we talked bout alot of things. Mainly school related stuff though. She's really nice and sweet.. ya.. THANK YOU WL for intro-ing your friend.

1st day of TP life

OMG!!! I have a blog now. Well, its like whatever right.. LOL

Aniway, I created this blog as I suddenly feel its better to note down the things that happens around me everyday.

Ok, here goes.. Today marks the 1st day of my TP schooling life.. Didnt noe how the lect will be like.. Will it be the same as MJ's? Or will it be a new experience? Dragged myself off bed this morning due to the BORING MAN UTD match last night (which Man Utd lost on penalties.. damn). Lucky didnt stayed up to watch the extra time n shootout, went to bed straight at full time.

1st lecture started at like 9am - Principal of Mgmt.. OOoo.. Basically it jst teaches you the difference level in Mgmt, etc. Oh ya! The LT was noting like MJ's. TP's LT was like 1/4 the size of MJ's LT 4.. So you can imgaine how many classes can actually attend the lecture. No wonder they have like lecture groups. The lecture was supposed to end at 11 (WTH, 1 single lect period is 2hrs when JC max is 1.5 hrs.. OMG). Luckily, the lecturer tok fast and we were released at like 1015.

As today is the 1st day of school, my class 1H03 so called went on a "class outing" as we still nida come back to school for another lect at 3. So off we went to Tampines Mall. Initial plan was like to catch a movie, but well, plans do change =) We ended up in the arcade (I jst sat ard as.. well.. you all shld noe)..

Coincidently, 1 of our classmate's bday is today. So off we went to get her a gift. Ending up getting her a milk bottle filled with those assorted sweets from Mini Toons. Hope she likes the gift even though its abit last minute..

CCA recruitment drive is like from 22-24 Apr.. Shld I join back Floorball?? Basketball?? or shld i jst be CCA-less for another 3 yrs?? I realli like Floorball.. but my stamina is like long gone.. GG.. tough choice..
